89X was the branding for CIMX-FM, a Canadian radio station based in Windsor, Ontario, that broadcast to the Windsor-Detroit market. Operating at 88.7 MHz, the station launched in 1967 and became known for its alternative rock format starting in 1990, appealing to both Canadian and American audiences. On November 19, 2020, the station switched to a country music format under the new brand "Pure Country 89," discontinuing its alternative rock identity. It was owned and operated by Bell Media.
