Radio W1

Radio W1 was a private radio station based in Regensburg, Germany, that operated from 1987 to 1998. It was one of the first private broadcasters in Bavaria and became well-known for its diverse music programming and local news coverage. The station primarily targeted a younger audience and gained a strong regional following. In 1998, Radio W1 ceased operations after a merger with another station, leading to the creation of Gong FM. It remains a notable part of Regensburg's media history.
